Kristi Malinga is a Licensed Practical Nurse with 39 years of healthcare experience and a lifelong commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care. Raised in Wewoka, Oklahoma, she developed early values of service and dedication that continue to guide her work today.

Kristi attended Wewoka High School, the University of Oklahoma, and Platt College of Nursing, and she is licensed to practice in the state of Oklahoma. Her career spans nearly every level of care, including long-term care, skilled nursing, acute care hospitals, ICU and cardiac step-down units, inpatient physical and neurological rehabilitation, psychiatric and geriatric psychiatry, substance abuse treatment, home health, hospice, private care, and nurse management.

She brings extensive critical care and hospital experience, with specialized expertise in geriatrics, dementia and Alzheimer's care, geriatric psychiatry, infection control, triage, medication administration, care coordination, admissions and discharges, and medical records management. Kristi is highly proficient in EMR systems including QuickCare Meditech and PointClickCare, as well as ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding, payroll, staff orientation, and nurse management operations.

In addition to her clinical background, Kristi is a Notary Public (Passar | & II) and is experienced in POA and DNR documentation, long-term care insurance, and Medicare insurance. She is certified in CPR and CP| (Crisis Prevention Intervention) and was honored as the Oklahoma OKALA Nurse of the Year in 2024.

Known for her calm, professional demeanor in high-pressure situations, Kristi is a trusted problem solver who builds strong relationships with patients, families, staff, and physicians. She is a lifelong learner and team-oriented leader focused on achieving positive outcomes in an ever-evolving healthcare environment.

Outside of work, Kristi enjoys traveling, spending time with friends and family, following OU sports, and researching the JFK assassination.
